The metal door of an old hay barn, circa 1880, was soon to disappear. Once used to store hay for the carriage horses of a genteel Western town, the building was slated to be torn down, making room for modern expansion. That door, though, was worth remembering . Its twisted, rusted metal latch especially intrigued me. Seen in the raking light of an early summer morning, it combined the hint of sunshine with the cool blue shadows of a disappearing dawn. Now long gone, the door leaves us this memory. All of my works are professionally matted and framed, using museum glass which is the highest quality available for framing. Please note that the dimension above are for the image only; the framed work is larger. The dimensions of this piece, as framed, will be approximately 24X30 inches.
